AMERICAN pop star Simone Battle has been found dead at her home in Los Angeles early on Friday morning.
The former X-Factor contestant was found at around 8am, said her father Anthony E Battle, speaking to the MailOnline.
He said: “She will be greatly missed and loved.
“She was an exuberant person and a very loved person.”
Battle participated in the first US edition of the talent show X Factor in 2011, where she was mentored by Simon Cowell.
Although she was eliminated from the competition, she went on to have musical success. In 2012 she joined the Pussycat Dolls, but the group was rebranded in 2013 as G.R.L.
The cause of Battle’s death is still under investigation.
