A MEMBER of the Guardia Civil motorbike patrol has died after an accident during the ‘La Vuelta’ race in Spain.
Reports from the police say that the accident happened at around 15.30 on Monday along the AS-228 road from Trubia to Ventana. According to the statement, an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances into how the accident occurred.
The deceased, named as Eusebio Garcia Flores,41, had been working as a motorcyclist with the traffic division of the civil guard since 2001 and had previously worked as a volunteer with the race to ensure health and safety for the cyclists as they passed the Asturias stage of the race .
