THE people of Malaga and the Costa del Sol finally got the chance to meet their new king.
King Felipe VI was in the province with Queen Letizia on their first official visit since he was named King.
The Royals paid a visit to the city’s Picasso Museum before attending an inaugural dinner to open the 19th Spain-US forum at the Automobile Museum.
The King delivered a speech at a formal dinner to celebrate relations between Spain and the United States of America. And the King gave the Costa del Sol, and Marbella in particular a welcome boost when he said in his speech that Marbella was the leader of tourism in Spain.
The forum is an annual event which brings both Spanish and American politicians and businesspeople together to discuss mutual interests.
It aims to promote financial and business relations between the two countries, as well as strengthening the three-way relationship between Spain, the USA and Latin America.
