HEALTH authorities in Almeria have activated quarantine protocols in Almeria’s Torrecárdenas hospital after a possible case of Ebola.
The 36-year-old male patient had recently returned from Guinea and turned up at a health centre in Roquetas de Mar early on Thursday morning complaining of symptoms which are in line with the Ebola virus.
Suffering from a high fever, the man has been isolated whilst doctors await the test results to confirm if he is suffering from the deadly disease or not.
Health authorities in Andalucía have released a statement saying that the region has procedures in place to deal with the virus in the event of an outbreak.
