A SPOKESMAN from the Balearic Government, Nuria Riera, has made a statement today announcing that the President, José Ramón Bauzá, was admitted to hospital on September 4 for a surgical procedure and was therefore unavailable to attend the Government council the following day.
Riera did not disclose the reason why the president had been admitted or what surgical procedure he had, but he assured the press at the Mallorca Regional Government conference that it was a “personal” matter, relating to the president that “would not be affect the normal running of the government.”
The spokesman denied any ‘obscurity’ surrounding the President’s health, adding that “he is fine” and his team were constantly updated and well informed about his health.
