ALMERIA group La Milonga was launched in the spring of 2013 and is already gaining a fierce following.

The members of the group all met at La Guajira’s Socio-Cultural Asociacion.

The musical style is described as tango and bolero but also with flamenco rhythms and harmonies.

After a year of performing and practising, and with four songs already recorded, the group has decided to record their first album titled Tango y Bolero con Flamencura.

The group has decided to get a little creative with their finances and have set up a crowd funding project, which is an alternative to more traditional financing models.

Crowd funding is based on a closer interaction with the audience and smaller contributions from a larger numbers of donors.

The donors in turn are rewarded by seeing the fruition of the project, as well as receiving different levels of ‘gifts’ such as concert tickets, CDs, private concerts and dedications, depending on how much money is paid.
