GIBRALTAR’S Deputy Chief Minister has admitted in an interview with the GBC that the Rock’s new power station will not be ready in time for the next general elections.
In a detailed interview with the news outlet, Dr Joseph Garcia admitted for the first time that the €87 million power station has a way to go before completion, and certainly not before the end of the government’s current term.
In the meantime, the incumbent GSLP-Liberal party had responded to the power problem inherited from the GSD by providing temporary power installations, according to Dr Garcia.
The interview with the GBC looked at the government’s first 1,000 days in office. Dr Garcia stressed that up to now, over 300 promises made in their election manifesto had been fulfilled.
