THE British Real Estate Investment company Intu has renewed its efforts to launch a Project for a new shopping centre in Torremolinos.
Intu – which is one of the UK’s market leaders in this type of property development – has designs to build the biggest shopping centre in Andalucia, on a site which could be 140,000 square metres.
Representatives for the company attended the 14th National Congress for Commercial Centres where they outlined plans for the project, said that although they are currently in a very early phase of the project, they hope to receive all the necessary planning permissions within the next few months.
According to Intu, designs have been inspired by the Puerto Venecia shopping centre in Zaragoza. The site, which is the largest in Spain, is above all dedicated to leisure activities, and includes a lake and a large children’s play area on the premises.
