REGIONAL president Alberto Fabra gave a clear answer to the will she, won’t she dilemma.
The she in question is Sonia Castedo, currently mayor of Alicante city, and Fabra confirmed that she will not be a Partido Popular candidate in next May’s municipal elections.
Castedo has been named in several corruption cases and is to be interviewed under caution by a high court judge next month for alleged involvement in planning irregularities.
“All those linked to processes that could affect citizens’ trust in the institutions will be left out,” Fabra said. “They will not be candidates,” he emphasised.
