BAR SAN PEDRO in Mojacar is a popular venue for all nationalities, serving great food and Belgian beers at great prices.
This friendly bar is a regular stop off for cyclists and walkers in the area, due to its location on the Paseo del Mediterraneo in Mojacar. And what better way to quench your thirst after a strenuous hike or bike ride than with a beer from Pedro’s fantastic range of Belgain beers. Regular favourites such as Hoegaarden, Grimbergen, Laffe and Westmalle are available here in addition to some rarer tipples, and these have helped to cement the bar as a favourite amongst locals and visitors. Of course all your favourite refreshing drinks are available too, alcoholic and soft, as well as tea and coffee if the sun dares to disappear behind the clouds.
Of course what is beer with out food and a great welcome? Bar San Pedro has both in abundance. Special mention must be given to Pedro’s Belgian Fries, served with a hearty dollop of mayonnaise. In his words: “People talk about French fries. They need to come and try our Belgian fries, they are the best.” The Belgian snack menu is varied with something to suit any palate. Sandwiches, toasties and chicken wings are available as well as chicken nuggets, shrimp croquettes and meat balls.
Pedro, the owner, is a friendly and chatty character, who is fluent in a number of languages, including English. He and the staff at San Pedro Bar will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There is seating inside and outside, so whether you wish to embrace the sunshine or hide from it, you will be well catered for.
Bar San Pedro is great for large groups and for small, and must be added to any itinerary when visiting Mojacar. It is located on Paseo del Mediterraneo in Mojacar on the left hand side as you travel north towards Garrucha.
