A MAN has been sentenced to two months behind bars for killing two cats, but had the sentence suspended.
The 81-year-old Estepona resident was reportedly seen by a woman throwing the animals onto the pavement on Calle Fuerzas Armadas and then throwing their dead bodies in a bin. The woman later lodged a complaint with the police against him.
The man was also disqualified from working with animals for eight months and sentenced to bear court costs.
The judge ruled that the sentence would be suspended for two years and warned the man against breaking the law in that period.

The story isn’t clear what exactly happened does it mean he beat the cats to death by hitting them on the pavement till they died? if so why was the sentance suspended? 2 months is nothing for the pain the cats must have suffered before they died.
