A PROGRAMME of free guided tours of Almuñecar’s San Miguel castle and the museum Cueva Siete Palacios was launched last week.
It is an initiative designed to encourage residents to learn about the historical heritage of the town.
The visits will take place at 11am and 5pm on Saturdays and on Sundays at 11am.
They will be conducted by qualified guides hired by the town Council, through the Junta de Andalucia regional government plan for youth employment.
“We are thrilled to take part in this initiative to teach residents about the history of the town. We are not only growing professionally, but also contributing to the tourist and cultural development of our town,” said one of the guides.
