Bale says ‘gracias’

HOLLYWOOD superstar Christian Bale (pictured) has extended his thanks to the people of Almerimar.

The A-list movie actor met with the mayor of El Ejido, Francisco Gongora, and expressed his gratitude to the town for the kindness and hospitality he experienced during his stay in the coastal village of Almerimar while filming the blockbuster movie, Exodus.

The town has released video footage showing Bale meeting with the mayor and Councillor for Tourism, Luisa Barranco, at the Hotel Golf Almerimar, just before he left the town at the end of filming. Bale and his family enjoyed a number of cultural, sporting and leisure activities during their stay.

When speaking about Almerimar, Bale said: “It is an amazing and wonderful place.” The video is available on www.turismo.elejido.es.
