The earth moves in Almeria

The National Geographic Institute, which registers earth tremors, has reported eight small trembles in the Alboran Sea and El Ejido over the last few days.

The largest tremor was at midday on Wednesday December 10 to the west of Alboran registering 4.1 on the Richter scale. Yet the one that was felt the most was a 2.9 tremor with its epicentre in northern Alboran at 11pm on Wednesday.

The last two reported tremors had epicentres in El Ejido, both registering 1.8 on the Richter scale at 3.57am and 4.10am on Thursday morning, were not reported to have been felt by local citizens.
