Held for leaving his daughter alone

A MAN was detained for allegedly leaving his young daughter alone at home.

Local Police in Malaga arrested a father who reportedly left his five-year-old alone at home on Saturday (December 13). The girl was about to be rescued by firefighters when the father arrived.

It appears the neighbours heard and saw the girl crying on the flat’s terrace at approximately 8.30pm and decided to alert the authorities. The father said he and another two adults had decided to go out to buy food and left the girl at the flat, in Bailen-Miraflores, because she was being difficult. He was arrested on charges of temporary child abandonment.
