POLICE: Found the items during house searches.
POLICE have caught an alleged gang of burglars that picked locks and stole from property while the owners were at work.
Four South Americans who are believed to be gang members were arrested, two in Benalmadena and two in Madrid.
Following the arrests, two homes were searched and a large amount of loot recovered including jewellery, watches, mobile phones, tablets, tools and €14,500 in cash.
The group is believed to have carried out burglaries in at least nine properties in Malaga City, Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Rincon de la Victoria and Fuengirola.
