LESSER KESTRELS: Hunting and capturing birds of the protected species is forbidden
A MAN has been accused of selling protected species Lesser Kestrel chicks over the internet by Malaga Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The prosecutor’s report considers the sales to be a criminal offence against nature protection measures included in the penal code.
Investigations supposedly show that the man sold one-week-old birds of the protected species on popular internet advertising sites.
The prosecution has therefore asked for a hearing to be held and the suspect sentenced to four months in jail and banned from hunting or fishing for two years.
