A WOMAN police officer has died after the second terror attack in Paris in two days.
Prosecutors have confirmed that they are treating the incident as a terrorist attack after the police officer was gunned down as she investigated a car accident involving a grey Renault Clio.
Also critically injured in the incident was a street cleaner. Heavily armed police dashed to the Montrouge area which was rapidly sealed off.
Police are still hunting for two Islamist terrorists who killed 12 including two police officers yesterday (Wednesday, January 7) in an attack on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
The hunt for the men has concentrated on forests to the north east of Paris after two men thought to be those being hunted robbed a petrol station
Hundreds of extra police are guarding media offices, places of worship and other areas deemed at risk in the capital.as France remains on its highest terrorist alert.
And another 200 soldiers from parachute regiments have joined 650 colleagues patrolling the streets of Paris.
