Guardian angels of Almuñecar rewarded

POLICE officers who contributed to everyone’s safety on New Year’s Eve in Almuñecar were paid a very special visit recently.

The Mayor of Almuñecar, Trinidad Herrera, visited the town’s fire department, Guardia Civil and Local Police, with deputy mayor Jose Manuel Fernandez.

They brought typical Christmas products to be enjoyed in an atmosphere of comradeship.

“It is just a symbolic gesture with which we want to encourage them and express our gratitude, as they also sacrifice time with their families to ensure the safety of all citizens,” said Ms Herrera.
