Tight game for Costa Blanca golfers TMGS

A LAST minute phone call saved the day when The Members Golf Society turned up at La Finca only to find they has gone on the wrong day.

Fortunately for the Costa Blanca society members, they were able to get a round in at La Marquesa instead, where the 20 players found the course in good condition.

Steve Higgins, Shelia Dean, David Qualey and Olga Haubner won the nearest the pins and best guest of the day was J Hettrick with 22 points.

The Silver Division was a fairly tight affair with the exception of one player. In third spot, Jenny Morris only needed 30 points, three points ahead on 33 was Olga Haubner and out in front with the best score of the day was Alan Rickers with 38 points.

The Gold Division was even tighter and the top three all recorded 35 points. John Eyre was placed third, Jamie Rorison second and the winner was Steve Higgins, with the places decided by handicap.
