A taste for the unique…

TABLE MOUNTAIN: A unique restaurant in a unique location.

TABLE MOUNTAIN is a unique restaurant in a unique location.

Found nestling under the Mesa de Masmullar it takes its name from the mountain, which is a similar shape to that which dominates the skyline above Cape Town in South Africa.

Its breathtaking location in the Montes de Malaga is just one of the reasons for the restaurant being one of the must-experience dining experiences in Andalucia.

From whatever direction you choose to approach, the scenery is absolutely stunning with superb views of the forested mountains and out to sea as the road rises.

It is the ideal opportunity to make a day of your visit, with not only the views, but also the picturesque village of Comares to visit.

With white houses, narrow streets and Moorish arches and architecture, it is well worth the time to view.

Table Mountain restaurant is in the nearby small village of Los Ventorros and is very easy to find with parking right outside.

The light and airy restaurant is the perfect setting to enjoy the superb food, either indoors, or on sunny days on the terrace.

The star of the show is of course the food, which is always a little out of the ordinary with the menu featuring a wide array of international dishes as well as more traditional recipes.

Harry,  the host, is friendly and is very happy to talk you through the interesting well balanced menus.

If you find making a choice difficult the starters include a tapas tasting menu so you get to try a bit of everything.

As well as a range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, Table Mountain also offers a selection of signature dishes using authentic ingredients and cooking tech-niques from around the world. These include Satay, Beef Rendang from Indonesia, Spicy South Indian curry and venison stroganoff.

There is also a selection of delicious home-made puddings  to round off your meal.

A visit to Table Mountain is the perfect way to make a good day out even more memorable.
