LOS MONTESINOS: Petrol station targeted.
POLICE are investigating a spate of armed robberies at petrol stations across the Vega Baja.
Five petrol stations were robbed over the Christmas and New Year period in Albatera, San Fulgencio, Catral and two in Los Montesinos. The latest to be targeted was in Los Montesinos when two masked men entered and threatened the cashier with a gun.
Similar attacks were made in Albatera, San Fulgencio, Catral and another in Los Montesinos.
Now, three new attacks have happened this week at petrol stations in San Bartolome and La Matanza in Orihuela and at a station in Elche.
Police are investigating and trying to establish if the robberies are the work of one gang or two separate ones.
