Velez-Malaga Council has put a new company in charge of maintenance work for the municipal indoor pool.
The new company, Emte Service SA, will be responsible for the service for a period of four years, with a budget paid for by the council which amounts to €368,135.
According to Sports Councillor, Jesus Lupiañez, the new staff will repair the dehumidifier which had broken down, sparking concern amongst users which saw how the pool’s temperature dropped to balance it out.
“We would like to apologise to all users, as the Sanitary Department recommended that we decrease the water’s temperature so that the air humidity was lower. However, considering that in a few days the new company will repair the dehumidifier, we have decided to increase the pool’s temperature after complaints from many users, especially the older ones. All these inconveniences will soon be solved,” said Lupiañez.
