Manhunt for suspects with ties to Spain

WANTED: Police believe Tommy Donovan could be in Spain.

MERSEYSIDE police have launched hunts for three men, two of whom may be on the run in Spain.

As reported last Friday, residents on the Costa del Sol are being asked to help trace 30-year-old Timmy Donovan, also known as Timmy O’Sullivan. He is wanted on a European Arrest Warrant for the murder of PC Neil Doyle.

PC Doyle was attacked while on a Christmas night out with colleagues in Liverpool and died from a fatal bleed to the brain.

Donovan is originally from the Huyton area of the UK and has connections with Childwall in Liverpool. He is understood to have left Britain at about 8.30pm on December 19 through the Eurotunnel, and officers believe he was driving a five-door, grey Mercedes A180 (registration YE62 NWG).

Donovan is described as 5ft 8in tall, of broad build, with dark brown hair and blue eyes and has a Liverpool accent.

Detectives believe that Donovan is in Europe, possibly Spain, and are working with the National Crime Agency, Europol and European police forces in a bid to locate him.

Merseyside police are also on the hunt for Adam Murphy and Andrew White, wanted for conspiracy to cause explosions at cash machines and burglary of bank and shop premises between January and December 2013.

Andrew White, aged 25, has links to Spain and is described as being of medium build, with fair hair and blue eyes. His last known address was in Huyton.

Detective Chief Inspector Gayle Rooney, from the Matrix Serious Organised Crime Team, said: “The Force is once again asking the public for their help in catching two of Merseyside’s most wanted criminals.”

Officers are appealing for anyone with information as to the wanted men’s whereabouts, to contact the Matrix Serious Organised Crime Major Crime Unit on 0800 230 0600, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or call your local police force.
