MOTRIL in the Axarquia is gearing up to be on show at the great Spanish tourism fair Fitur, which will take place between January 28 and 30.
Mayor of the town Luisa Garcia Chamorro, together with the deputy mayor of Carchuna-Calahonada, Concepcion Abarca (both pictured), unveiled the programme that the town will take to Madrid as part of the fair.
Amongst the aspects of the town highlighted are, for instance, the agriculture and tropical gastronomy of the area and the sugar production tradition. The short distance between beaches and snow, which turns the city into a wonderful site for sport tourism, is another feature that sets the town apart.
With the slogan ‘Motril is sensational,’ each presentation will be accompanied with a phrase which reflects the different ‘sensations’ caused by the town including, ‘Motril is for everyone,’ ‘Motril is passionate,’ and ‘Motril is genuine.’
Ms Chamorro explained that the intense programme is aimed at generating quality and stable tourism across the Costa Tropical throughout the whole year.
