Plaza de sa Cabana to undergo renovations

THE Plaza de sa Cabana in Pont d’Inca (Marratxi) will undergo major renovations.

Almost €240,000 will be spent by the council on works which were put out to tender and will be performed by Amer e Hijos SA.

The works are expected to begin on February 2 and will be completed in approximately five months.

Plans are to renovate the square’s floor tiles, which are in a very poor condition, the replacement of existing trees as well as the renovation of lighting systems.

This square holds the local market every Wednesday, so the Marratxi Council is discussing different options to relocate the market to a place near the neighbourhood in order not to disrupt the commercial activity.
