Traditional Malaga products now available online

ONLINE shopping enthusiasts now have the chance to get their hands on typical Malaga products with the launching of a ‘Malaga Flavour’ electronic market.

‘Malaga Flavour,’ the Provincial Council’s brand for local food products, has made 170 products available online, all made in the province by 23 companies.

The shop at www.shoppingsaboramalaga.com was conceived to promote sales abroad, as 42 per cent of the companies’ sales are to foreign companies.

Head of the Provincial Council, Elias Bendodo, presented the new platform and stressed that the industry gives employment to 40,000 families in Malaga.

The online shop was created with a budget of €640,000 and includes products from companies such as Cabra Malagueña, Murex, Bravo, La Molienda, Lujo del Paladar, Manzanilla Aloreña and Bravoliva, amongst others.

The industry of Agricultural Food products has given a total benefit in 2014 of almost €700 million euros, and has increased its production by 10 per cent.
