Competition winners pose with their prizes
MANACOR held a competition this year for Sant Antoni celebration façade decorations in an aim to encourage the old tradition of decorating house-fronts for the festivities.
Deputy Mayor Catalina Riera and Festivities delegate Maria Bover presented prizes to the competition winners at a ceremony on Friday January 23.
First prize went to Joan Miguel Duran for a façade on Calle de s’Aigua, who received a trophy representing Sant Antoni and the Dimoni Gros.
Second and third place diplomas went to Bar Ca Na Pereta in Plaça de la Constitucio and Miguel Truyols for his façade on Calle d’En Venturos.
Amanda Fernandez, representing the CEIP Moli d’En Xema, was awarded first prize in the schools category.
