TWO women and a 16-year-old boy living in Benalmadena have been arrested for allegedly smothering an 80-year-old woman to death in Cantabria.
The elderly lady was found dead at her home on September 15, 2014, and although there were no obvious signs of violence or a break-in, relatives reported that a number of items were missing.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the victim was violently smothered to death.
Police investigators believe that the suspects, who moved to Benalmadena soon afterwards, had made the lady’s acquaintance and gained her trust, then smothered her and stole jewellery, a mobile phone and a small amount of cash.
