UNDERSTATED: Thai influence of soft lighting and elegant furnishings.
TOP THAI is truly a top Thai restaurant even though the name actually refers to the owner and chef, Mr. Top himself who has over 15 years experience when it comes to the creation of Thai food.
The restaurant interior is decorated with an understated Thai influence with soft lighting, elegant furnishings and with the merest hints of subtle gold accessories and large but graceful eastern influence art work on the walls. With touches of greenery in the form of small potted plants on each table tailored to complement the larger plants visible through the full length windows, you feel as if you are in an elegant Thai style garden.
You can feel the love and attention to detail that Top has invested in his restaurant, with embroidered napkins, quality tableware even down to the ‘Top Thai’ design artwork on the froth of your coffee.
Top started his Thai food service in the area eight to 10 years ago with a small kiosk on the other side of the plaza with just 15 tables and serving just 25 items of the staple Thai menu. Word quickly got out about this authentic Thai chef serving the healthiest and tastiest of international food. This ‘word of mouth’ and the love of Top’s food is what has seen him turn his business into the beautiful restaurant that you see today in Centro Plaza in Nueva Andalucía, where it is now well established and has been growing its client base for the last two years.
The menu now provides over 100 items of authentic Thai dishes cooked with the best Thai spices and ingredients and served to Top’s exacting standards. With signature dishes which include Phad Thai noodles and his own recipe for his legendary Top Thai Duck sauce and Satay sauce, Top’s philosophy is to serve his customers with quality Thai food whilst educating them on the variety and tasty options available within the Thai culture of cuisine but at great value for money.
At approximately 20 to 25 euros per head and coming second in the top five of the healthiest foods in the world, you cannot argue with that and neither did TripAdvisor who provided him with a certificate for excellence in 2014!
This restaurant has something for everyone, so if you wish to transport yourself to Thailand and treat yourself to a taste of the Thai world without actually having to travel there or if you wish to have a romantic evening for two or a group or family affair, Top Thai is truly a remarkable place to go.
With a takeaway service also available, all the taste and delight of this beautifully cooked food can also be yours to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
