A HOST of Jane Austen’s best-loved characters were brought to life by members of the International Theatre Studio (ITS) at one of the group’s regular play-readings on the Costa del Sol.
Bingley, Bennet, Collins and Mr Darcy were all given a voice as Pride and Prejudice was read among an attendance of more than 30, including an unprecedented number of newcomers. Kate Jackson, ITS vice-president, said that the newcomers were all the “right side of 40, promising a much-needed injection of young talent.”
The group, who usually meet in San Pedro, are planning two major productions this year. Anyone interested in participating can visit www.internationaltheatrestudio.org
