DONATION: Table tennis club supports local SEM ambulance.
THE SEM ambulance crew serving La Marina and San Fulgencio, Costa Blanca, have had a boost of €500 thanks to a donation made by the local table tennis club.
The Brian O’Reilly Table Tennis Group, which meets every Tuesday and Friday at the Social Centre in Urbanisation La Marina, made the donation to support the SEM, which will be used on maintenance and checks for the life saving equipment on board.
The club, renamed in honour of one of the founding members, collects subs of €3 from players each week which is used to repair and replace equipment, but then any money left goes to a local good cause.
For more information on the club, call president Pedro on 965 073 907 or James on 965 073 907.
