Sierra Blanca, Marbella, Andalucía.
A NEW platform viewpoint being built in Nueva Andalucia, Marbella, aims to attract tourists and locals alike to enjoy the views and take pictures.
Work has begun and is expected to last about two months to build the platform on Calle Calderon de la Barca, which has breathtaking views across to Sierra Blanca mountain and the peak of La Concha.
The council aims to build a parking area to allow tourist buses and private vehicles to drive to the 780 square metre viewpoint, and will also build 650 metres of pavement from Plaza Leopoldo Alas Clarin to the platform.
Wooden railings will provide safety while allowing visitors to photograph the views, and benches and lighting will also be provided.
