A PEACEFUL protest and march against cruelty to hunting dogs will be held on Sunday (February 1) in Malaga City.
Organised by local charities and animal protection associations, this will be the fourth year running the march is held and members of a Million Paw March for Justice Facebook group are expected to attend.
Held on February 1 to coincide with the end of the hunting season, the march leaves Plaza de la Marina at midday and reaches Plaza de la Constitucion, where a manifesto will be read, via Calle Larios.
Large numbers of hunting dogs are abandoned or cruelly killed in Spain each year after the official season ends.
Dog owners are invited to take their pets along to support the cause at the march. While 240 dogs joined in last year, more than 600 are expected on Sunday.
