San Fulgencio town hall |
CARLOS RAMIREZ, mayor of San Fulgencio, will be called to declare before an Orihuela court in March.
A judge has accepted a petition from the anticorruption public prosecutor’s office and will call the mayor, along with Festivities councilor, Concepcion Castell, and Urbanisations councillor Jeffrey Wiszniewsky’s advisor, Juana Roaslia Mora, to declare during a case of possible corrupt practice and fraud regarding the award of contracts to organise celebrations held in La Marina urbanisation in 2011 and 2012.
The prosecution believes that the contracts were agreed in advance as information on the programmes for the festivities were published on a website linked to the town hall before organisers had been chosen.
