Gale force winds have affected a lot of Spain over the last few days
ALMERIA: BAD weather caused Almeria to be put on red alert by the Spanish State Weather Office last night as winds of up to 130 kilometres per hour hit the area, causing wide-spread incidents.
Although the alert was reduced this morning (January 31) the evidence of the night’s events were easily seen across the province with power-cuts, fallen trees and fallen cables in Adra, Velez-Rubio, Velez-Blanco and Arboleas.
Andalucian 112 Emergency Services Coordination Service reported that the A-399 road at kilometer mark seven, heading towards Oria, was closed during the night due to falling debris from a nearby abandoned farm.
