THE Ministry of Public Works has approved a tender worth €86.25 million with Adif Alta Velocidad (AVE) for the stretch of train line from Pulpi to Cuevas del Almanzora.
The works have a lead time of two years, according to a statement from the Ministry of Development. The section, which will run through Cuevas del Almanzora and Pulpi, will have a length of 12.5 kilometres.
Among its features are three viaducts at Canalejas, Guazamara and Las Cachas with lengths of 420, 60 and 150 metres respectively. Building a tunnel of 180 metres is also planned, due to environmental requirements, to facilitate the passage of livestock. There will also be a tunnel under the A-1205 and over the A-1201.
Government representative for the Junta de Andalucia regional government, Carmen Crespo, expressed her satisfaction.

Is this correct ? 86 BILLION for 12 km of track from nowhere to nowhere else?
The figure reads â¬86.246 million, not billion. I think the 90 cents at the end has caused the confusion.
What about stretch Vera to pulpit and Almeria section
