Web series festival should be a tasty treat

ALFAZ DEL PI’s 27th Film Festival will be preceded by a newcomer on the festival scene.

The town hall announced that it was organising the first International Festival  of Webseries – Fidewa for short – on May 7 and 8. This will be accompanied by other activities parallel to the main event that centres on web series and internet fiction.

The acronym is also a phonetic rendering of Fideua – a version of paella using cut noodles instead of rice, a fact of which the town hall is well aware.

“This festival has nothing to do with the kitchen but we’re sure that it will leave a good taste in the mouth,” said Alfaz’s mayor Vicente Arques.
