Marbella creates free mobile tour guide

MARBELLA plans to have a new mobile app providing tourism information up and running by Easter.

The town hall has created a mobile app, Marbella Street, which will be available to download from Apple Store and Google Play free of charge next week.

Sensors will be placed at 100 areas of interest about town and will provide information to visitors via Bluetooth as they approach.

Information in Spanish, English, German and Russian with photos and audio will pop up on mobile phone screens to inform users where they are and give them details on the point of interest.

The iBeacon sensors are expected to be in place and operational by Easter, providing visitors and locals alike with a free, easy way to learn more about their surroundings.

      `Since December 1941, US foreign policy…´
