POLICE have arrested three alleged pickpockets in Torremolinos and Malaga City, who they believe targeted elderly citizens carrying large amounts of cash.
The group, two women and a man, are believed to have stolen €5,700 in cash from citizens aged between 76 and 84 in Malaga and Ronda.
Police believe the man loitered in banks to pick victims that drew substantial amounts of cash and note where the cash was stored. The women then followed the victims and waited for an opportunity for one to distract the unsuspecting elderly people while the other stole the money.
