New funeral parlours in Torrox

TORROX Council has begun the paperwork for the construction of two new funeral parlours.

The new facilities will be located close to the cemetery in Torrox-Pueblo and the former water treatment plant in El Morche.

All companies are welcome to participate in the public tender to carry out one or both projects.

“It is obvious there is a necessity for these services in our municipalities. Currently, every time a resident dies, their families are forced to organise the funeral at the facilities of neighbouring towns. Residents have been demanding the construction of a new funeral parlour for a long time and we have been working towards its achievement since 2011,” said Mayor of the town, Francisco Muñoz.
