ALMERIA Province’s consortium for waste management has launched a free app showing locations of the province’s 100,000 recycling bins, Recicla2.
The app, which is available on smart phones and tablets, covers the province’s 48 municipalities and shows receptacles for cooking oil, batteries or used clothing using the geolocation of the relevant device.
President of the consortium, Eugenio Gonzalvez, said: “Sometimes residents will not know where to find the nearest receptacle and thanks to this app, that is what can now happen.”
One of the priorities of the application is to show precise locations for the more unusual containers, which are sometimes located inside shops or municipal facilities, as in the case of batteries or fluorescent light bulbs.
