A 21-year-old from Alcantarilla, Murcia, has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a bank in Torrevieja, where employees were threatened with a gun.
The bank robbery took place in September last year when the thief led the branch manager and workers to a store room as he proceeded to make away with €1,000.
The car used to escape had been stolen from Mazarron earlier that day, with the owner attacked during the carjacking.
