Bodies and parts of the aircraft are still being retrieved almost two months after the tragedy
THE body of a British passenger of an AirAsia flight that crashed into the Java Sea in December has been found, the Foreign Office has confirmed.
Choi Chi-Man, aged 48, was reportedly travelling with his two-year-old daughter Zoe on QZ8501 flight from Surabaya, Indonesia to Singapore when it disappeared from radars with 162 people on board.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said in a statement: “We can confirm the identification of the British victim of Air Asia flight QZ8501, Choi Chi-Man.
“Our thoughts are with his family and we continue to provide them with support at this difficult time.”
While at least 47 bodies have now been retrieved, many have still not been found almost two months after the tragic accident.
