THE General Hospital of Alicante has implemented new 3D equipment for the treatment of heart diseases.
The echocardiogram, which allows visualisation of the heart in three dimensions, will allow cardiologists at the General Hospital to quickly and more reliably treat and correct ruptured heart valves and arrhythmias.
The equipment was installed at a cost of €165,000.
The hospital is one of the leading centres in the field of cardiology and treats heart patients from across the province.
