GUARDIA CIVIL subdued a man after he locked himself inside his home in Alcudia, Mallorca, with a shotgun and threatened to shoot those who approached him.
The incident happened on Monday (February 16) when, according to the information released by police, the 20-year-old man locked himself up in the family home in Calle Amoros.
It was his mother who, at around 3pm, alerted the Guardia Civil and Local Police who roped off the area.
The young man was very agitated and remained inside the property for more than six and a half hours, after which officers were able to calm him down and subdue him without causing him any harm.
He was finally taken to the Guardia Civil station in Pollença where he remained in custody.
