WORK has started at Almuñecar’s San Sebastian chapel, which is set to undergo a comprehensive programme of renovations.
Architectural barriers that made it difficult for people with physical disabilities to access the building will be eliminated and a ramp will be constructed.
In addition, and to improve safety, a new balustrade will be built and the pavement outside the chapel renovated.
At the same time, the appearance of the areas surrounding the chapel will be improved, as well as the façade of the building, which will be repainted.
The project’s budget will amount to €10,700, will be carried out by a local company and it is expected to be completed by April.
