WORK could begin this year to improve the Arroyo de la Miel exit from the A7 motorway where queues exasperate drivers and commuters on a daily basis.

Benalmadena Council has approved a measure to hand land over to the Public Works Ministry and allow the project, which was allotted €2 million in the government’s 2015 budget, to begin as soon as possible.

Mayor Paloma Garcia Galvez said: “We want to end the problems and risks this black spot causes drivers. More than 15,000 vehicles pass through every day, and immediate action is needed.”

It was about time! It is impossible to take this exit around 7 p.m. when people usually finish work.
It is unbelievable that we still have 1 lane for 30.000 inhabitants.
As a Benalmadena resident I wonder why they didn’t do it before.
