STUDENTS and teachers alike dressed up to welcome in the Chinese New Year at the British School of Marbella. The youngsters, who study Mandarin Chinese at the school, made blossom pictures, Chinese knots and painted the zodiac animal from the year they were born as part of celebrations to welcome the year of the goat.
Parents sent in an assortment of Chinese food for the party. Headmistress Sian Kirkham said: “The children brought a burst of colour to school on Friday dressed in their Chinese costumes. It was lovely to see the children having such an enjoyable time while learning so many interesting facts about this popular Chinese celebration.” For more photos of the celebration visit www.facebook.com/britishschoolofmarbella
