Pulpi drunk driver skipped police checkpoint

A DRUNK woman who took her partner’s car without permission, drove without a licence, skipped a police check point then crashed into several cars in Pulpi causing €7,000 worth of damage, has been sentenced.

An Almeria court ordered her to do 120 days of community service, banned her from driving for one year and issued a fine of €3 per day for 30 days.

The local police said that they had had to take evasive action to avoid being hit as the 28-year-old woman, DCV, went on her drunken rampage in June 2011.
